Seder Platter - During the ritual Seder family meal partaken on the first two nights of Passover (Pesach). Family customs may vary, but the following food items traditionally appear on the Seder plate. --- Apple & Honey - During Rosh Hashanah dipping a sweet apple into honey and reciting a prayer symbolizes a sweet year. The apple is linked to the story of Abraham preparing to sacrifice his son Isaak and the merit generated through this test to grant us a sweet New Year.
