Nasturtium
Tropaeolum

The nasturtium, whose native land is Peru, is called the "flower with a face". The young buds are covered with a pointed hood like that of the Capuchin monks, from which the flowers French name, Capucine, is derived. The nasturtium pollinated by the hummingbird, results in a mixture of deep yellows, hot oranges and scarlet, which creep around other plans and up walls, making colourful and extravagant canopies.
